The Department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a reception programme for the guests of Iran visiting the College to explore areas of mutual cooperation and collaboration. During the programme, specific issues of Indo-Iranian collaboration in Unani Medicine were discussed and new horizons were set to strengthen the relationship.
The 2nd National Conference and Workshop on Laparoscopic Surgery, Endoscopic procedures including ERCP and Unani procedures organized by the Department of Jarahat, A.K. Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University concluded with live demonstration of leech therapy, cupping and venesection. Prof. Hkm. Syed Zillur Rehman, Director, Ibne Sina Academy, Aligarh was the Chief Guest of the valedictory session.
Inaugurating the two day National Conference on Laparoscopic Surgery held by the Department of Jarahat (Surgery), A. K. Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University, the Chief Guest Dr. M. Khalid Siddiqui, former Director of Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) and distinguished Unani expert, pointed out that many countries of Europe have adopted Unani surgery system and it is being developed within India also through research and modern principles.

The lecture was delivered by Prof M. Isa Nadwi, Head, Department of Tahhafuzi wa Samaji Tib, M. I. J. Unani Medical College, Mumbai.
The Aligarh Muslim University is witnessing a new wave of expansion and building construction. Within a short span of three days nearly half a dozen new facilities have been inaugurated. The most unique feature of the current expansion spree is that the buildings were completed in all respect in one go.
