AMU Old Boys Association mourns demise of Mr Ahmad Saleem Peerzada

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Old Boys Association today mourned the sad demise of AMU alumnus and former AMUSU Secretary, Mr Ahmad Saleem Peerzada fondly known as Lovey Peerzada, in a largely attended condolence meeting after a Quran Khwani (Recitation of the Holy Quran). Dr Mohsin Raza (renowned surgeon and former AMUSU President) presided over the programme.

Mr Ahmad Saleem Peerzada Passes Away In New Delhi Hospital

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) community today mourned the sad demise of AMU alumnus, Mr Ahmad Saleem Peerzada fondly known as Lovey Peerzada, who breathed his last in the Apollo Hospital, New Delhi after a suffering paralysis attack and brain haemorrhage.
 
AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor extended his condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased.

Students File Nominations For AMUSU Office Bearers And University Court

Mr Mujib Ullah Zuberi, Chief Election Officer (CEO) confirmed that five candidates for the post of president have filed their nominations, while six candidates are in the fray for the post of vice president.

 The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. Tariq Mansoor today drew a resounding applause from students when he announced that soon AMU will have five days’ working a week like other Central Universities including Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University. Plantation Drive Participants Felicitated

The Aligarh Muslim University Students’ Union (AMUSU) organized a Felicitation Ceremony for the participants of the mass tree plantation drive, “One Person, One Tree”. The Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah who was the Chief Guest on this occasion, gave away appreciation certificates to the partcipants.

The Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of the AMUSU for initiating the plantation drive which is a big step towards making the AMU greenest university in the country.
