Workshop Held On Gender Sensitization and Legal Advocacy For Women

The Centre for Women's Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, organized a one-day workshop on 'Gender Sensitization and Legal Advocacy', in coordination with ‘Humsafar’, a Lucknow based support centre for women in crisis. Ms. Richa Rastogi and Ms. Mamata Sharma were the resource persons at the workshop.

About 45 students from the AMU Girls’ School, Senior Secondary School (Girls), Senior Secondary School (Boys) and Tika Ram Inter College participated in the workshop.

Advance Centre For Women’s Studies Inaugurates 10-day ‘Research Methodology Workshop’

The Advance Centre for Women’s Studies, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today inaugurated a 10-day ‘Research Methodology Workshop’ sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).  

Delivering the keynote address, Prof Nishi Pandey, an eminent educationist from the University of Lucknow said that it is imperative for researchers to go beyond authorized, recognized and generally accepted theories and look for new things.

Centre for Women’s Studies Organizes Three-Day International Seminar

A three-days international seminar entitled ‘Women and the Modern Political Systems’ organized by the Centre for Women’s Studies, Aligarh Muslim University was inaugurate today by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sibghatullah Farooqui.  Addressing the seminar, Prof. Farooqui said, “The need of the hour is to change the political scenario of the country. Women should participate in the political to make countries developed. The development of any country is possible only with participation of women at every level, even in politics.”
