The Department of Civil Engineering, Z H College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University organized a “Career Counseling Workshop" under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III) for 2nd year Civil Engineering students.
The Aligarh Muslim University, Vice Chancellor has approved the appointment of Professor M Masroor Alam (Department of Civil Engineering) as Part Time Programme Coordinator, National Service Scheme for a period of one year or till an appointment is made through the selection committee.
The UGC Human Resource Development Centre (UGC HRDC), Aligarh Muslim University recently showcased the varsity’s ‘Green University Project’ to at least 56 University and College teachers from various parts of India to observe the ‘World Environment Day’. These 56 teachers are currently in AMU to attend UGC HRDC’s Orientation Programme 146.
While felicitating the participants on the occasion, Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Director, UGC HRDC urged them to gear up towards environment conservation action.
Professor Mubeen Beg, Department of Civil Engineering has been appointed as Assistant Member-in-Charge, Building Department, in addition to his own duties till further orders, with immediate effect. He will also discharge duties of MIC in the absence of regular MIC, Building Department.
Teams of B Tech (Civil Engineering) students associated with Aligarh Muslim University’s Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology have bagged first prizes in the recently concluded Utkraanti-17 and Cognizance-17 held at IIT Delhi and Roorkee. Utkraanti-17, which was organised by M/s. Wingfotech Private Limited, New Delhi in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IIT, Delhi had an online civil engineering quiz championship; while Cognizance-17 hosted a paper presentation competition.
ASCE AMU Student Chapter, Department of Civil Engineering, Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) Aligarh Muslim University in association with Aptron Solutions Pvt Ltd, recently organised a one-day Workshop on the software, ‘Staad.Pro’, in which more 150 engineering students participated.
