Professor Asfar Ali Khan associated with Aligarh Muslim University’s Department of Electrical Engineering, Z H College of Engineering and Technology has been appointed as Director, Directorate of School Education, AMU with immediate effect. Prof Khan has joined as the Director after Professor Mohd Gulrez was relieved from the post on his own request.
Z H College Of Engineering And Technology 1987-91 Batch Reunion On Dec 24
The 1987-91 batch of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University will celebrate it’s Silver Jubilee Reunion event on December 24, 2016 at the Assembly Hall of the University Engineering College. Over 125 alumni have already registered to participate in the event. Meanwhile, the alumni, who might not be able to attend the event, will watch the reunion live through a webcast on AMU’s website.
Dept of Electricity AMU Starts Save Electricity Week
The Department of Electricity, Aligarh Muslim University under the ‘Green Campus Initiative of MNRE’ today started the ‘Save Electricity Week’. The Inaugural-Session of the programme, which was presided by the AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) and had Mr S P Garnaik, Chief General Manager, Energy Efficiency Services Ltd as the Chief Guest took place at the Assembly Hall of the University Boys Polytechnic.
Prof. Salman Beg Bids Farewell To The Finite World
Professor Salman Beg, who retired from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, breathed his last yesterday. Prof. Beg, 75, is survived by his widow, a daughter and his son, Prof. Mohd. Abu Sufiyan Beg, presently Principal of Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology.

Research Centre In Electrified Transportation Inaugurated
With an objective to focus on development of new means for saving Petrol, the Aligarh Muslim University has launched a Centre of Advance Research in Electrified Transportation (CARET), which is the first such centre of excellence in an Indian university.
