Cleanliness drives continue in the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as part of the nation-wide, ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ with the Departments of Economics and English organising cleaning programmes and awareness campaigns.

American academic, Professor Gabriela Nik Ilieva (New York University), who was recently presented with the George Grearson Award for promoting Hindi language by the President of India, has unique and engaging methods to help students learn. She said that since students use social media, teachers have to turn it to their advantages as these platforms have the power to enhance the collaboration and healthy competitive spirit in classrooms.

Mr Azhar engaged the audience with a speech on how ‘cleanliness is important part of religions’. He is pursuing Phd in Sunni Theology.

Dr Kranti Pal, Associate Professor with the Department of Modern Indian Languages, Aligarh Muslim University today released his latest book, ‘Vaad Vivaad Samvaad’, which is a collection of essays written in the Punjabi language on the topics of literature, culture and society.
The book was released in the presence of Professor Shaik Mastan, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Professor M Shafey Kidwai, Member –in-Charge (MIC), Public Relations Office.

The Raleigh Literary Society, Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University recently concluded Annual Function 2017 at the Arts Faculty Lounge. During the function, the Society organised various events like Speech Competition, Illustration of Proverb Competition, Power Point Presentation Competition and Spelling Bee Competition.
The Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University has concluded the National Conference on ‘Professionalising psychology in meeting contemporary needs and challenges’. The Valedictory Function was held at the Arts Faculty Lounge.
