The Centre for Distance Education (CDE), Aligarh Muslim University concluded a one-week workshop on “Perception and Communication Skills” yesterday.
Dr. Adriana Ortega from Venezuela provided hands-on training to the participants.
Dr. Ortega shared her experiences trainer which she attaind while visiting more than 10 countries as a communication skill trainer.
Brimming with excitement and energy; students, teachers and the non-teaching staff of the Aligarh Muslim University gathered in large numbers at the playground of the Department of Physical Education to commemorate the third ‘International Day of Yoga’.
The Department of Physical Education, Aligarh Muslim University has started a seven-day Workshop on Yoga, which was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof Shamim Ahmed Ansari, Dean, Faculty of Social Science. The Workshop’s objective is to improve the overall performance in all spheres of life.
Students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) under the aegis of the University’s Public Relations Office as a project work recently organised an interactive session between students and teachers of various faculties on the topic of ‘Vision of Sir Syed towards educational excellence and need to re-visit his ideas’.
Department of Mass Communication and British High Commission, New Delhi, in collaboration with the UGC Human Resource Development Centre, Aligarh Muslim University, today inaugurated a two-day workshop on “Skill Enhancement of Indian Language Journalists” in the Cultural Hall of the Maulana Azad Library.
Inaugurating the workshop, AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah (Veteran) highlighted the need of a progressive agenda in the language press.
“Had not there been the unfortunate incidents of violence on the University campus recently, the Aligarh Muslim University would have achieved number one position in the country”, said AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, while addressing a gathering of teachers, students and other staff members after hoisting the national flag at Strachey Hall, marking the 70th Independence Day of India.
The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University has appointed Major General G. G. Dwivedi, SM, VSM and Bar (Retd.) as professor in the Centre of West Asian Studies, Faculty of Social Science for a period of three years or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date he joins his duty.
Major General Dwivedi has remained associated with Indian Army and held various important positions from 1971 to 2009.
