AMU Faculty Members Get Prestigious Fellowship

Dr. Rashid Ali, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Engineering and Dr. Samar Ansari, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University have been bestowed the prestigious “Young Faculty Research Fellowship” by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India. The Fellowship would initially be awarded for a period of 2 years and continuation of the fellowship for a further period up to 5 years would be subjected to their satisfactory performance.

AMU Research Students Felicitated for Getting Dual Degree From Ohio State University

The Officiating Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University, Brig. S. Ahmad Ali today presented a degree of Master in Education to Dr. Asim Rizvi, Nida Rahman, Hala and Malik Azeem Anwar, which has been awarded by the Ohio State University (OSU) of USA. Brig. Ali congratulated these research scholars and hoped that having this degree they will now perform much better in their respective area of research.

AMU Faculty Delivers Talk At Michigan University

Dr. M. Saad Alam, Coordinator, Centre of Advanced Research in Electrified Transportation (CARET), Aligarh Muslim University, delivered a talk on "Cloud-aware Transport Oriented Cities (TOC)" at the University of Michigan, USA.  In his talk, besides focusing on his topic, Dr. Alam urged for collaborative research between AMU and the University of Michigan. Dr. Alam also met with scientists from Hyundai R&D team to expedite the ongoing collaborative research on wireless charging of Electric Vehicles.

Retired Judge Appointed as Inquiry Officer

The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University has appointed Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza, Retired Judge, Allahabad High Court as Inquiry officer to conduct a Judicial Enquiry into the incident of rioting, arson and firing occurred in the University Campus in the intervening night of 23-24 April, 2016 by a group of students in collusion with some expelled students and criminals.The inquiry will investigate the following and pinpoint person(s) responsible for the incidents which took place that night.

Prof. Islam Nominated as ‘The Indian Council for Philosophical Research’ Member.

Professor Tariq Islam, Chairman, Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University has been nominated as a member of The Indian Council for Philosophical Research, a premier body under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt of India, which monitors and funds research in philosophy in India. He has been nominated as a UP state member of the council for a period of three years.

Psychophysiology Lab Inaugurated.

Donated Jewelries Put in Maulana Azad Library Museum

The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah today handed over the jewelry donated by Dr. Afshan Hashmi, a US based AMU alumna, and a set of two golden bangles donated by Mrs. Saba Naqvi, a UAE based alumna, to Dr. Nabi Hasan, AMU Librarian for keeping these valuable jewelry in safe custody of the Library Museum. AMU Signs MoU With Iranian University

The Aligarh Muslim University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for educational and research collaboration with Al-Mostafa International University, Qom, Iran. In presence of the AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt.
