ABK School Felicitates Super-20 Wizards
ABK High School (Boys), Aligarh Muslim University today organized a felicitation programme to honour the “Wizards of Super-20” (Second Batch).
Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director, School Education, was the Chief Guest while Prof Shafey Kidwai, Department of Mass Communication and Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Sherwani, an alumnus from Qatar graced the occasion as guests of honour.
AMU Super-20 is a group of 20 students of ABK School (Boys) who have qualified different examinations after going through rigorous rounds of tests comprising questions from Science, Humanities, GK and Current Affairs. The objective behind this programme is to provide a platform to promising talents and prepare them for competitive examinations of national and international level like civil services, judicial services, defence services, TOEFL, GRE, KVPY, PISA, etc. The first group of Super-20 was formed in the year 2016. One of the members of the present Super-20 group, Master Adnan Ahmad, topped in the 2017 entrance examination for Class XI.
The Super-20 group is provided additional facilities, including internet and exposure to various libraries beyond AMU campus to help them achieve excellence.
Addressing on the occasion, Prof. Asfar Ali Khan said that the students should be a good listener and a habitual reader. Prof. Shafey Kidwai said that students should strive for learning three things - wait, think and act fast to succeed in life.
The successful students were felicitated with certificates, badges and gifts. Mr. Tabrez Alam conducted the programme while Ms. Ghausia Iqbal proposed a vote of thanks.
