AMU Prof Delivers Keynote Address At International Conference In Alwar
Professor Imtiaz Ashraf (Chairman, Department of Electrical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University—AMU) delivered a keynote address at an international conference on ‘Recent Trends and Advancements in Electrical and Renewable Energy’ at Alwar, Rajasthan.
He discussed recent advanced technologies for harnessing wind energy at high altitudes of 1000-2000 feet.
Prof Ashraf emphasised that the wind energy at high altitudes can be harnessed five times more in comparison to the conventional wind turbines installed at 100-200 feet.
As an invited dignitary, Prof Ashraf also released the Volume 7 of the Journal of Engineering, Science and Management Technology. Meanwhile, Mr Tariq (Asst. Prof, Z H College of Engineering and Technology, AMU) presented his research on the operation of wind energy system during fault.
Earlier in the week, Prof Ashraf also delivered a keynote address at the International Conference on Signals, Machines and Automation (SIGMA-2018), Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
