Annual Hall Function Organized
Addressing the Annual Hall Function of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hall, “Jazba-e-Nau”, Padma Shri Irshad Mirza of Red Tape International, Kanpur said that the there was an urgent need for developing entrepreneurship in Muslim youth. He urged Muslims to develop enterprising skills and contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.
AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah exhorted ‘students to marshal advocacy for the greater social good than to fleece their clients’. He said that law students should also endeavor to acquire expertise in military justice system and serve Indian Army.
Gen. Shah gave away certificates and prizes to winners, participants and Hall post holders on this occasion. A number of literary, cultural and sports activities were organized in the Hall during the week-long programme. The hall inmates participated in the event like Debate, Story Writing, Quiz, Essay Writing, JAM, Story Writing, Legal Research, Power Point Presentation, Solo Singing, Poetry Recitation, Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Carom and Chess.
Dr. M. Zafar Mahfooz Nomani, Provost of the Hall, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for developmental initiatives like modernization of kitchen and extending help to promote sports and foster academic excellence in the University campus.
The programme was conducted by Shah Muneeb Raza, Joint Secretary Literary Society.
