Meeting Held To Revisit B.Arch. Curriculum

The Department of Architecture, Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University organized a high level meeting for curriculum development and reforms in B. Arch. course under TEQIP-II.

Ms. Jayashree D. Deshpande, Director In-charge, National Institute of Advance Studies in Architecture (NIASA), Academic Unit of Council of Architecture, India reviewed the various aspects of the existing course i.e. (4.5 Years Classroom Teaching and 6 month Practical Training). In view of changing scenario of the profession and the present market demand, she urged to restructure the B. Arch. course curriculum as 4 year Classroom Teaching and 1 year Practical Training.

The members Mr. Nawab Ahmad, Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Maheshwari, Associate Professor, Mr. T.R. Warsi, Associate Professor, Mr. M. Khalid Hasan, Assistant Professor, Mr. M. Farhan Fazli, Assistant Professor, Mr. Khan Imadur Rahman, Assistant Professor deliberated in the meeting and gave their consent to the proposal.

The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Nawab Ahmad, Chairman, Department of Architecture.
