Radiation Therapy Course of JNMC Recognized by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board

The bachelor programme in Radiation Therapy Technology run by the department of Radiotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University since 2010 session has been recognized by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Government of India for all purposes including job prospects as Radiotherapy Technologist.

The Scientific Officer “F”, Radiological Safety Division, AERB, Mr. P. K. Dash Sharma in his letter clarified that the students with degree in Radiation Therapy Technology will get employment opportunities as Radiotherapy Technologists as the syllabus pertaining to radiation safety aspects prescribed by AERB had been incorporated in the course and the entry level qualification met its requirements.

Mr. Sharma, however, made it clear that the syllabus prescribed by AERB was minimum for the radiation safety and the complete syllabus as deemed fit must be incorporated by the University for the Radiotherapy Technologist course.
