Students Counselling Centre Starts Workshop On Life Skills Development Through Counselling
The Students Counselling Centre, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today started a seven-day workshop on ‘Life Skills Development through Counselling’ with a participation of over 100 research scholars and assistant professors from AMU and other colleges and universities.
Prof G P Thakur from New Delhi, who attended the inaugural function as the chief guest discussed the qualities of a good teacher. He emphasised the need for counselling of students and research scholars in universities so that they can overcome stress for efficient outputs.
Guest of honour, Prof Shamim A Ansari (Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, AMU) urged students to have positive approach and self-esteem to meet challenges.
Prof Shambunath Tiwari advised students to have constructive and positive assessment of their personalities.
Prof Shah Alam (Coordinator of the workshop) welcomed the guests and participants. He also gave an overview of the workshop. Dr Akbar Joseph A Syed is the Convener and Co- Coordinator of the workshop.
