Team EDocto Brings Laurels To AMU
Team EDocto brings more laurels to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), as they stood first runner-up in the National Level Business Plan competition named Vincenza organized by Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
AMU’s EDocto team was the only undergraduate team in the competition and secured 2nd place out of more than 100 teams. The fight was among teams largely from IIMs and other management colleges. The prize money was ₹30,000 for the runner-up.
EDocto is a complete fitness monitoring system consisting of a device and a mobile application. It aims to provide a complete nutrition tracking system. The application is based on image processing and AI Technology which would take a snapshot of the daily nutrition intake and update it into the person’s profile.
The mentor and coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Mr. Ale Imran congratulated computer engineering students of ZHCET Tahir Ahmad and Ashar Shahid for this feat and asked them to reach out to other students to promote and induce entrepreneurship activities.
Team Leader Tahir Ahmad shared that the idea has been presented in a business model in various competitions held in reputed colleges across the country such as IIT- Kanpur, IIT- Madras, EDII Gujarat and won many competitions held in university. He showed confidence that the Alumni of AMU will support to launch their product into the market.
He added, requirement is ₹80,000 seed funding for the development of MVP and ₹10 Lacks to launch the product into the market and they are working on mobilising funds.
