Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor released ‘Fundamentals and Applications of Heavy Ion Collisions’ during a special function at his office. The book, which has been published by Cambridge University Press, is authored by Prof R Prasad and Prof B P Singh from the Department of Physics, AMU.

AMU Paediatric Surgeon and Hs Team Enter Guinness Book For Performing Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy On Youngest Patient

The Department of Paediatric Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has entered the Guinness World Record Book by successfully performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy on a 244-days old girl, surpassing the previous record of the surgery on a 271-days-old infant.   

Dr Rizwan Ahmad Khan, Chairperson of the Department diagnosed the patient with gallstone disease before performing the laparoscopic procedure with his team which included Dr Danish. The girl has been discharged after recovery.

Vice Chancellor Appeals Students To Maintain Calm And Desist From Acts Of Indiscipline

Following unfortunate incidents that took place in the campus in the past few days, Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor has appealed students to maintain calm and to desist from indulging into any act of indiscipline such as locking the gates, boycotting the classes or turning into a crowd to disrupt peace on the campus.

Dr Warsi To Become Sahitya Akademi Member
