Faculty of Agricultural Sciences
Professor Parvez Qamar Rizvi (Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University) today planted tree saplings in the university campus as a part of a plantation drive initiated by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.
Trees were planted at Shafi House (Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management) and Ali Manzil (Department of Home Science). Chairpersons, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, research scholars and students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences were present.
Aligarh Muslim University research scholars Mr Talha Akbar and Mr Furqan Khan associated with the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences have bagged the Best-Paper-Award at the recently held International Symposium on ‘India's Strategy of Economic Growth and Development: Experiences and Way Forward.’
Professor Absar Ahmad has been recently appointed as the Director of the newly created Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre, Aligarh Muslim University with immediate effect.
Prof Ahmad was a Senior Principal Scientist, Biochemical Science Division, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune before joining as a Professor with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in AMU.
